Miami County Systems of Care (SOC) was established in 2016 as part of a Statewide effort by the Indiana Department of Mental Health and Addiction to ensure that Indiana citizens have access to quality mental health and addiction services that promote individual, family, and community resiliency and recovery. 

SOC Mission Statement: Miami County Systems of Care creates collaborative and innovative solutions to address community barriers surrounding mental health and substance abuse issues.
 
The long term goals of the SOC are to:
Decrease barriers to delivery mental health and addiction services.
Increase the utilization of evidenced-based practices to promote positive outcomes.
Increase cultural and linguistic competency in service delivery.
Reduce disparities in access, service use, and outcomes.
Increase provider and agency accountability.
Increase the number of and access to local family and peer support groups and programs.
Develop an evaluation plan to monitor outcomes and improve system performance.
Create an integrated approach to mental programs and substance abuse treatment.

The SOC meets each Month, on the second Tuesday of the Month, beginning at 11:30 A.M. at the Peru Community Schools Administrative Center, 35 West 3rd Street, Peru, Indiana 46970. 

SOC Vision Statement: A coalition that will create a caring community with the resources to prevent and treat: substance use, substance abuse, and mental health needs.
