Weather Spotting

EMA volunteers and staff are always keeping an eye to the skies around our county, especially when we believe we are threatened by severe storm activity.

Whether it is ice storms, flooding, tornadoes, thunderstorms, high speed wind gusts, downbursts, or other natural disaster, the Emergency Management Agency responds and reacts to them all.

Certified

All of our spotters are certified and are of tremendous help to not only Miami County, but to the National Weather Service as well. Storm tracking makes up a big part of our Spring and Summer season, and EMA is there to help in informational updates, as well as in the aftermath of a storm's damage.
