Meeting Schedule


The Miami County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) will meet the third Thursday of every third month commencing with January. These meetings will be held at the Miami County Jail, 1104 W 200 N, Peru, Indiana 46970 unless otherwise published. These meetings in plain language will be:

January 15, 2026 at 4:30 PM

April 16, 2026 at 4:30 PM

July 16, 2026 at 4:30 PM

October 15, 2026 at 4:30 PM


Description & Responsibilities

All Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPC) are smaller units of the Indiana Emergency Response Commission (IERC), and report to the IERC. Although the LEPC is not a part of the Emergency Management Agency, some of their responsibilities do overlap one another.

Planning & Community Right to Know Information

The LEPC plan, facility Material Safety Data Sheets, EPCRA chemical reports, any emergency notices, and all information filed by covered SARA Title III facilities in Miami County may be viewed by the public at the Miami County Emergency Management/LEPC Office, 78 McKinstry Ave, Peru, Indiana 46970 during regular business hours, Monday - Friday.
