Miami County Part-Time Assistant
Job Title: Victim’s Advocate Part-Time Assistant
Hours: Flexible 10 hours/week between Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
Job Description: Assisting the Victim’s Advocate Director with services provided to the victims/witnesses of Miami County, IN.
Responsibilities/Requirements:
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Ability to understand, be sensitive to, and have empathy for victims
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Regulations pertaining to assistance for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault
- Ability to work cooperatively with law enforcement, social services, and legal personnel on behalf of victims
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws
- Knowledge to work with individuals and families from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Assisting the Victim’s Advocate Director with any and all oral/written requests
