Miami County 911 Job Openings
We are looking for people who are willing to challenge themselves.
You will (at minimum):
- Answer incoming emergency and non-emergency phone calls for the entire county.
- Dispatch appropriate police, fire, rescue, and emergency medical response agencies to emergency situations.
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions (as needed.)
- Manage radio communications.
- Operate a Computer Aided Dispatch System (CAD.)
- Maintain the status of all plice, fire, ems, emergency response agencies, and command personnel during emergency situations.
Must have:
- Ability to work under hihg stress environments, to think and act quickly and calmly in an emergency.
- Ability to see, read, and verify the accuracy of ALI and ANI information.
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts 6 am to 6 pm or 6 pm to 6 am.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old
- No Felony convictions
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work any shift
Starting pay for part time is $14.50/hour. If moved into full time position $16.57/hour plus benefits.
