MIAMI COUNTY BROADBAND STUDY – We Need Your Help!
The Miami County Board of Commissioners has approved the commission of a study to develop an overall Broadband Strategy for Miami County and its citizens. This Study will identify the long-term strategy for providing access to affordable high-speed internet to every resident in the County. The Strategy will also identify short to medium term goals for Broadband access that support the long-term objective.
One of the critical tasks in the development of this Strategy is to survey County residents on the current availability or non-availability of internet to include both upload and download speeds. Subsequently, the County has partnered with Indiana Farm Bureau’s for the use of their existing speed test survey to compile data needed for the Miami County Strategy.
The Farm Bureau survey is very easy to complete and takes less than 5 minutes. Residents can take the survey by simply logging on to www.infb.org/speedtest. The test must be completed from your residence. If you do not currently have internet, please still complete the test from your phone or another location with access and indicate on the survey that you do not have internet at your residence.
Please take the time to complete this quick survey. The data collected will only be used for the purpose of determine and prioritizing the need for internet access and investment of County funding and no other purpose.
