The Auditor’s Office is the hub of County government. Our office deals with property tax deductions and bill creation, property transfers/splits, property tax settlement, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, human resources, and budgets.
We are searching for a qualified candidate for the Claims Deputy. This is a full time salaried position with typical hours of 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The yearly salary is $27,873. Position requirements include, but not limited to: all County accounts payable related duties, various accounting duties including collection and receipting of funds and other tasks as assigned by the County Auditor.
This job requires a high school diploma or GED, and must be 18 years of age. Candidates should have a working knowledge of accounting, payables, receipts, budgeting process, etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, operate standard office machinery, and maintain knowledge of all computer software used in the Auditor’s office is a requirement.
Applicant must be able to learn quickly, work alone or with minimum supervision in a team environment amidst frequent distraction and under pressure from deadlines. Applicant must be self-directed and able to make decisions. Applicant must be respectfully assertive when needed.
