The town of Denver, located in Jefferson Township, was laid out by Harrison Grimes in 1872 when the Eel River Railroad was being built there. Denver is home to North Miami Community Schools.

Denver hosts the Denver Days Festival from Thursday through Sunday the second weekend in August each year.  It features a parade, food, car show, and entertainment.
