Amboy

Amboy is a quiet community in southeastern Miami County that had a population of 384 during the 2010 census; it is situated in Jackson Township. The original name for the township was intended to be Liberty, however it was named Jackson instead in honor of Andrew Jackson

The town of Amboy was platted in 1867, it was during this same year that the Pan Handle Railroad was built through the settlement.

Amboy is home to the Amboy Fall Festival, held on the third weekend of September each year. It features a parade, car show, bake sale, games, and entertainment.
