Photo Credit: Microsoft.comThe Miami County Surveyor's Office fulfills a variety of responsibilities and duties.  Among these are:

  • Overseeing all maintenance, construction, and reconstruction work that is associated with regulated drains per IC 36-2-12-8.  Miami County currently has 496.71 miles of regulated drains.

  • Preparing, maintaining and keeping a legal survey record book which shows maps of each section, grant, tract, subdivision or group of such areas in sufficient detail so that the approximate location of each such legal survey can be shown per IC 36-2-12-11.

  • Continuing work on the Section Corner Perpetuation Project.  To learn more about this project, click here.

The Miami County Surveyor, Jeff Harvey, serves as a non-voting member of the Miami County Drainage Board and as a member of the Miami County Planning Commission.
