Chairman Hawley called the weekly meeting of the Board to order. Commissioner Boyer is absent.

TOBACCO AWARENESS
Mr. Wilson asked if the public hearing had been set yet. Commissioner Hawley informed him that he has not been able to contact Dr. Mellen about using the Auditorium in the High School yet.

SHERIFF
The Sheriff brought the weekly report to the Board.

CCI CLAIM
A claim from CCI for $10,056.08 for services was brought before the Commissioners. Commissioner Deeds made a motion to pay the claim and it was 2nd by Commissioner Hawley. The motion passed 2-0.

MINUTES
Commissioner Deeds made a motion to approve the minutes. Commissioner Hawley 2nd the motion and it passed 2-0.

IDEM NOTICE
Chris and Lori Herrell applied for a concentrated feeding operation permit.

FINANCE COMMITTEE
The Finance committee will meet next Monday.

HIGHWAY ENGINEER
The Highway Engineer requested to attend the 2008 Bridge Conference on January 30th and 31st. Commissioner Deeds made a motion to approve and Commissioner Hawley 2nd the motion. The motion passed 2-0.

CLAIMS
Commissioner Deeds made a motion to approve the claims. Commissioner Hawley 2nd the motion and it passed 2-0.

IT
John Powell came before the Board to inform them of the need for a camera to be placed on each end of the 2nd floor if the annex. The cost would be $3,475.00. Commissioner Deeds made a motion to approve and pay out of Cum Courthouse. Commissioner Hawley 2nd the motion and it passed 2-0.

RQAW CLAIM
Commissioner Deed made a motion to pay the claim and Commissioner Hawley 2nd. The motion passed 2-0.

HIGHWAY
Sam Waltz thanked the Board for the 3% raise. He also informed them that there are two areas of high water in the County (1500 N 700 and 1550 N US 31).

Commissioner Deeds made a motion to keep the same appointments for the Highway and Commissioner Hawley 2nd. The motion passed 2-0.

RQAW
Gary Fisher and the Board discussed the following:
*Construction Control managing the bidding process
*Technical Specs
*Inclusion for video conference
*telephone lines
*outlets
*Pre bid conference February 6th at 10 a.m.
*List of local contractors
*Receiving of bids by 2:00 p.m. on 2-20-08 in the Auditor’s office
*selling of bonds and budget established
*wage scale hearing
Commissioner Deeds moved to approve the Jail final drawing and proceed. Commissioner Hawley 2nd the motion and it passed 2-0.

COUNTY ATTORNEY
David is working on ordinance for Homestead rebate check to be applied to delinquencies first. The Public Health Coordinator position and contract was also discussed.

A motion to adjourn was made by Commissioner Deeds and 2nd by Commissioner Hawley and passed 2-0.
